Default Problems with the online store?

I'm trying to add GW:EN to my account through the online store. I've tried using three different people's cards now, one of which rarely ever uses it and I'm getting an error message that reads as follows: Processor marked transaction as fraudulent. If you think you have received this message in error, please check your payment details and billing address and try again. (Code=1751111).

Is anyone else having this problem. Best thing I can come up with is that online store is backed up because I don't see how three people's cards would be rejected. They've all worked in the online store before.

Problems here too. I tried to buy GW:EN with my Credit Card - the same card I used for purchasing the preorder in the IN Game store. Error 1751058 (Fraud suspicion)

I think it has to do with todays update - something with NC master accounts and IP's etc.

I am very upset with NC Soft. That sucks!!! If I would have known this before I would have not bought the preorder.

EDIT: before you start flaming: yes, I did contact support - but I am not in the mood to wait for days until they make their homework. But it is a learning experience. Never buy online if you can get a boxed retail version somewhere. Should have remembred the Steam debackle.....

Did you already have an account with the online store? If so, all the info (name, address, etc.) probably has to match up, and also the credit card name, billing address, etc. has to be correct.

Make sure ALL the data is properly entered. The billing address has to be the right one for your debit/credit card. The name must be entered in the right order, stuff like that. I had a problem once that was just because I switched my names around.

Fraud suspicion has nothing to do with NCSoft or A.net and everything to do with the issuer of the card in question. I would contact the bank that issued the debit/credit card and see why it is coming up as suspicious.

incorrect, i believe its actually a 3rd party as my bank says there is no issue (the store actually doesnt even request anything from them - i get a .00 pending and thats all) and plaync is currently investigating - hopefully i can get a fix.. until then see the additional info

When the error message is popping up from Guild Wars, then it's Anet's problem.

Honestly, Anet's never been good at releasing anything without these kinds of problems anyway. I personally can't even log onto the store, Error=40 every time.

yea, hopefully its down to fix the fraud issue=P (also sorta incorrect there Floski - all depends on where the ball is dropped. Anet can process and the bank ca say no... whats happening here though is Anet is not even fuly processing... theyre the ones saying NO. The bank would be perfectly fine with the transaction (according to my 3 calls to them)

I have that same problem. I was able to log into the store once but then I wasn't able to make any purchases.

Then how am I incorrect? If you're saying "anet is not even fully processing" then its their RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing fault. I've looked at the error messages people have posted. It's not the bank rejecting it, it's Anet being horrible at their job.

youre wrone because you said that if it fals its their fault... that is incorrect... it DOES happen to be their fault at the moment, but it could have been a bank issue or a veriication company issue... Was just pointing out the fact that a fail at the store wouldnt ALWAYS be anets fault (just happens to be now)

no need to curse... im pissed i cant get in too... but im not takin it out on you.

Well so far... nothing new, i get still same msg, besides that the site got slower. Funny thing is that, i never had problems buying on net, but hey, no1 is perfect... i guess.

I still can not purchase in game store (i can not press on purchase button at all, after i add all my infos.) So, its not only one problem.

It might be my bank as well... so.. outside is clowdy, ill take umbrella and take a walk... how about that.

cheers and have fun

Here's a detailed account of my entire support ticket - hopefully it helps you all avoid wasting your time. If you get that error... try tomorrow or buy in a retail store.

Oh and quit trying if it failed- it will only reset the timer you have to wait on=P

Error 175111 in in game store

understood, though its a bit asinine to have an error tooltip that suggests multiple attempts if doing that will only get you locked for the day... The tooltips should instead note that multiple attempts could cause a temporary lock. I'll buy it from the gamestop - i need a few new character slots anyway...

still... this is a very dissapointing resolution and i doubt i will continue supporting the online store. I basically wasted $5 on getting the preorder there.

Response (Ben) 08/31/2007 07:39 AM
Hello,

Thanks for the reply.

Once the financial institution declined so many transactions, our billing processor put a hold on any transactions done with the account in question. We are unable to bypass the billing processor. Since you have resolved the issue with your bank, you have two options. The first option would be to wait 24 hours from the last failed transaction and purchase the game via the PlayNC Store or the Official Guild Wars Store. If you are unwilling to do so, unfortunately, the only other way to purchase the retail version would be from your preferred online/local retailer. We regret any inconvenience this has caused.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please let us know.

Customer () 08/31/2007 07:28 AM
... did you read the please do not copy paste reply here???

My bank refused the initial transaction because my pay did not process until 6am... i tried after 6 and it still will not process. This is extremely inconvenient for me and many others... I have well over the necessary ammmount and my bank says theyre just waiting for the charge... 24 hours is a bit extremem... 6 hour wait would be much more reasonable... Your error messages currently suggest multiple attempts and these seem to make things harder for us... is there any way to resolve this now? my bank (which i have talked to 3 tims) is ready to process.

Response (Ben) 08/31/2007 07:24 AM
Hello,

Thank you for your patience. After reviewing your account, it appears your first activation attempt was refused by your financial institution. Because of that refusal, all subsequent attempts resulted in the “FRAUD SUSPICION” error.

Please contact your financial institution to determine why your initial attempt was refused by them, and what can be done to resolve that issue. After resolving that issue with your financial institution, please wait at least 24 hours from your very last transaction attempt, then try the transaction again.

Please keep in mind that too many failed attempts within a short timeframe will always result in the “FRAUD SUSPICION” error.

Let us know if you continue to experience difficulties activating your account.

1) your help pages suck... there is no way to "login" if it doesnt process you immediately and you end up losing posted data and have to type again (4th time trying to send this... luckily i copied the text after the 1st data loss)

note, im not reposting.... this is what i posted in the wiki for Gaile Gray....

please see http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10192520
people are having issues wiith ordering - my problem with this is "transaction marked as being possibly fraudulent... Ive made several purchases from the store and this account is also stored on my plaync account... the cut/paste response from ncsoft is buy it in the store - problem is 1) i preordered it from u, and 2) this will deny me access to the Bonus mission pack... a little help please? Note: im not the OP - several users (and possibly more customers) are getting hit by this. --~~~~

basic jist - bank says np on transaction - guild wars says no... player says wtf? Please figure this out or lose a loyal fan.... (note the many paid months of CoH, the purchase of almost every game you guys have and the interest in almost every product)

a cut/paste response will only cause me to give up on wasting my time. I would love to try the game... if you wont sell it i wont bother... if necessary we can contact my bank. they will have no problem verifying me.

Hi guys.

Great forum, not posted much but thought this is important and better inform people about the screwed up online store.

Tried to buy GW:EN and got a transaction failed, so thought fair enough and tried a few more times same thing. Thought Oh well I'll come back later and try again. Came back to try again and said already purchsed. So thought oh shit I better check the bank and low and behold had less than I should have had. So rang my bank and got them to hold 2 copies. So please guys be careful as this should NOT have happened.

Hope noone else gets the same thing happen to them.

Cya in game

I got a message saying "could not establish contact with billing server" So tryed to resubmit a few times. And nothing happens. So I decided to wait for a bit and try again. I went and play bioshock for a few hours, and when I come back and log on I find that I have GW:EN and that Anet has billed me for each resubmit I did! I resubmittet four times according to my credit card log! Im so pissed at Anet now. They better have a good reply to the mail that I sent them... They should allso have a feature in the online store that prevents resubmission of the same input in a short period of time...

Anyone experience something similar?
